Hi,

I am Julia Solyom, a psychologist and psychotherapist trained in the cognitive-behavioral paradigm.

I have been working with people for over 15 years, gaining professional experience in sales, management, human resources, and coaching.

Psychology has always been a passion of mine. Driven by a deep interest in expanding my knowledge in this field, I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychological Techniques for Behaviour Control and Human Potential Development at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca in 2023.

PERSONAL VALUES

SUPPORTING THE GROWTH OF OTHERS

By supporting others, we also grow ourselves. By helping people unlock their inner strengths and identify their own values, interests, talents, and passions, we learn to truly understand and appreciate the meaning of a life worth living.

HUMANITY

Empathy and compassion, openness, and unconditional acceptance of the person as a whole being — vulnerable, yet capable of finding meaning and creativity in their own actions in order to live a fulfilling life.

CONTINUOUS LEARNING

Studies suggest that we begin learning in the womb and continue learning throughout our entire lives. The brain is plastic, with an almost unlimited capacity to acquire new knowledge; therefore, it is often said that each of us holds the potential of a genius within. Motivation, aspirations, life experiences, and environment all shape how we relate to learning as a process and how far we go on this journey of self-discovery and exploration of the world around us.

COURAGE

For me, courage means the determination and perseverance to step into new, unexplored territories, to face reality — sometimes frightening — to take responsibility, and to tolerate discomfort.

I strive to live my life guided by these values, setting concrete actions in these directions. It is not always easy — even though I am a psychologist, I am also a human being: a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend — imperfect and continuously evolving. What I have learned over the years, and what I wish to share further, is that I can identify and mobilize my inner resources and take responsibility for overcoming the difficulties encountered in life.

I warmly invite you to begin a journey toward your authentic self.

Julia

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of the most effective and scientifically well-supported psychological interventions, based on the model of the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. The CBT approach is grounded in the principle that the way we think and interpret the reality around us has a major impact on our emotions and behaviors — either helping us move toward our goals and a fulfilling life, or holding us back from achieving them.
